About this program
The Master of Advanced Nursing is aimed at qualified nurses and midwives moving into leadership, specialist practice or education roles rather than students entering the profession for the first time. Delivered through Monash's Nursing and Midwifery department, the course offers named specialisations in disaster healthcare, advanced nursing studies, healthcare education, leadership and management, palliative and end-of-life care, trauma nursing and advanced midwifery, with different specialisations available at the Clayton and Peninsula campuses and some delivered fully online. Coursework builds advanced clinical and leadership knowledge, covering how to plan, coordinate and evaluate care as well as how to formulate health policy for diverse communities, preparing graduates for senior clinical, educational and administrative roles rather than frontline bedside nursing. - The course comprises 96 points structured into two parts: Part A. Specialist studies
