Master of Education

Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

About this program

Monash's Master of Education lets educators from early childhood, schools, higher education, workplace training and community settings choose a specialisation that matches their actual career context rather than following one generic education curriculum. Available specialisations include early childhood education, digital learning, inclusive and special education and general education studies, with mathematics leadership, STEM education and social justice specialisations offered on a more limited, cohort basis in some years. Flexible full-time or part-time study and a range of flexibly taught units accommodate working educators, and strong students can extend into a higher degree by research if they want to keep building toward doctoral study. It's important to note this course does not provide an initial teaching qualification. It's built for people who are already educators, or working in education-adjacent roles, who want to deepen expertise in a specific area rather than qualify to teach for the first time.
