Bachelor of Agricultural Science

Murdoch University, Perth, WA, Australia

About this program

A three-year degree with a major in animal health, animal science, or crop and pasture science. Murdoch is the only city-based Australian university with a working farm on campus, so students handle livestock and production systems from first year, alongside field trips, placements and industry projects.

The Good Universities Guide 2026 ranks Murdoch first in Western Australia for agriculture on teaching quality, skills and student support. Entry is an ATAR of about 70 with alternative pathways available. Graduates work as agronomists, agricultural scientists, farm and livestock managers, animal nutritionists and biosecurity officers, a field where demand for graduates is consistently well above supply.
