About this program
A three-year science degree with six majors: biochemistry and nutrition, biomedicine, clinical laboratory science, genetics and biotechnology, microbiology and immunology, or pharmacology and toxicology, with a double-major option.
Study is based in the Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct, which includes three hospitals and several medical research centres, and students use industry-standard equipment including facilities at the Australian National Phenome Centre. Entry is an ATAR of about 70. The degree leads to work as a biomedical scientist, laboratory technician or research assistant, and is a common preparation for postgraduate medicine, allied health or research via an honours year.
