Bachelor of Criminology

Murdoch University, Perth, WA, Australia

About this program

A three-year degree with three majors: Crime Science, which Murdoch describes as the only program of its kind in Australia, Criminal Behaviour, and Legal Studies. It looks at crime through social, psychological, legal and scientific lenses rather than one discipline.

Students can contribute to real homicide and missing-persons investigations through the Major Crimes Review initiative, working alongside experienced criminologists. Entry is an ATAR of about 70, with alternative pathways available. Graduates move into work as criminologists, police officers, crime scene officers, probation and parole officers, intelligence analysts and policy roles. It also feeds Murdoch's postgraduate criminology and forensic programs.
