About this program
The Bachelor of Engineering Technology is delivered at Murdoch University's Perth campus, the only university in Western Australia with an on-campus, real-world engineering plant and dedicated control room. The degree builds practical skills in designing, operating and improving engineering systems, using the same technologies applied in industry. Students choose a major in Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Industrial Control and Automation Engineering, and complete 300 hours of practical learning, which may include industry projects or placements. Most engineering disciplines are on Australia's skilled occupation lists, and the standard path to a skilled visa nomination is an Engineers Australia skills assessment combined with a year of work experience under the 485 graduate visa. This course is delivered by Murdoch University in Western Australia.

Admissions
A minimum ATAR (or equivalent selection rank) of 70 is required for direct entry, or an International Baccalaureate Diploma total score of 24 or higher. Applicants who do not meet this can gain entry via Murdoch's foundation, bridging and enabling pathway programs, or via recognised prior study, VET qualifications or relevant work experience assessed case by case.
