Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law and Practice
Murdoch University, Perth, WA, Australia
About this program
A 24 credit point graduate diploma that is the OMARA-recognised entry course for becoming a registered migration agent in Australia. It covers migration law, visa categories, the practice and ethics of migration advice and case management, taught by academics and practitioners, with an optional internship in a law firm, government agency or not-for-profit. A law degree is not required and the course is open to all backgrounds, though it is also useful for lawyers adding migration work. Completing the diploma and passing the OMARA Capstone assessment makes a graduate eligible to register as a migration agent. It suits people entering migration advice work and lawyers expanding into the area.
