About this program
The Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Studies is an early exit point for the Master of Veterinary Clinical Studies (M1223). Students must be accepted into the Master's and complete 24 credit points to exit with the Graduate Diploma. The Master's degree gives veterinarians engaged in advanced clinical training the opportunity to undertake intense clinical training through supervised management of clinical cases in a selected field of veterinary clinical science, alongside attendance and participation in clinical rounds, seminars, journal club and necropsy presentations, and completion of papers for publication in peer reviewed journals. The Graduate Diploma provides an early exit point for veterinarians only interested in 12 months of training, or for those unable to continue in the full length program.

- 24 credit points completed as an early exit point within the Master of Veterinary Clinical Studies (M1223), covering supervised management of clinical cases in a selected field of veterinary clinical science, together with attendance and participation in clinical rounds, seminars, journal club and necropsy presentations
- for veterinarians completing only the first 12 months of the full length program. Full-time duration: 1 year (AQF Level 8, Graduate Diploma)

Current registration as a Veterinary Surgeon in Australia, or recognised qualifications that would permit such registration, plus acceptance into a Residency Training Program in Murdoch's College of Veterinary Medicine, plus approval of the Academic Chair.
