About this program
A two-year postgraduate degree, available full-time or part-time, focused on the strategies needed to secure food supply through sustainable agriculture. It draws on Murdoch's strength in agricultural and environmental science to cover production systems, resource constraints, policy and the social and economic dimensions of food security. Entry requires an AQF Level 7 qualification in the plant, food, ecological, environmental or animal sciences, or an equivalent field assessed by the Academic Chair. Fees are charged per unit rather than as a single course fee, so the total depends on the units taken. Graduates work in agricultural development, food policy, research and program roles with government, industry and international organisations.
