About this program
The health industry is being reshaped by an ageing population, rising consumer expectations, digital and technological disruption, the growing burden of chronic disease, and increased attention to data and privacy. Murdoch describes this as the only course of its kind in Australia, aimed at preparing health industry leaders and managers. Students are taught by health research and teaching staff and have opportunities to connect with industry employers at local, national, and international levels. Five majors are available depending on area of interest: change and project management, human resources management, information and analytics, innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership, and policy and evaluation. As a management and leadership qualification rather than a registered health profession, it does not carry the same direct skilled-migration pathway as nursing or other clinical health degrees; graduates typically pursue health-sector management and policy roles rather than a nominated occupation. This course is delivered by Murdoch University in Western Australia.
