About this program
The law version of Murdoch's Research Masters with Training: a supervised research project on a legal question ending in a thesis, with research-methods training alongside it, normally over two years full-time. It is a research degree rather than the coursework Master of Laws, so it does not involve taught law subjects. Topics are matched to a supervisor's area, which at Murdoch includes public and constitutional law, resources and environmental law, and law and society. Completion can lead to assessment for PhD candidature. Entry is by a research proposal. It suits law graduates and practitioners who want to produce original legal scholarship and possibly continue to a doctorate.
