Master of Teaching (Primary)

Murdoch University, Perth, WA, Australia

About this program

A two-year graduate-entry primary teaching degree (with a one-year graduate diploma exit point). Entry requires a bachelor's degree with at least one year of study across primary curriculum areas such as English, mathematics, science, the arts, humanities and social sciences, or health and physical education, plus evidence of consistently solid grades.

School placements run throughout the course, and Murdoch was the first Australian university to use SimLab simulated-classroom technology with virtual students for practising classroom management. It is accredited by AITSL in articulation with the Teacher Registration Board of WA, so graduates can apply for registration, and students must pass LANTITE. Commonwealth Prac Payment support is available during placements. It suits graduates and career changers moving into primary teaching.
