Master of Teaching (Secondary)
Murdoch University, Perth, WA, Australia
About this program
A 1.75-year graduate-entry teaching degree. Entry requires a bachelor's degree with a main teaching area of at least six units (with depth at third-year level) and a second teaching area of at least four units, in fields aligned to the WA secondary curriculum: English, mathematics, science, humanities and social sciences, or health and physical education, with vocational education and training available as a second area for people with industry experience.
School placements run throughout the program, and Murdoch uses SimLab simulated-classroom technology to practise classroom management first. It is accredited by AITSL and the Teacher Registration Board of WA, so graduates can apply for registration. Students must attempt LANTITE in year one and pass it before graduating. It suits graduates with a strong subject background moving into secondary teaching.
