About this program

The Bachelor of Social Work at QUT prepares students to promote social justice and facilitate progressive change with individuals, families, groups and communities. Core units cover trauma and addictions, mental health, mediation, gender and diversity, community development, Indigenous rights and perspectives, child protection, youth and family practice, disability, social policy and climate action, with 1,000 hours of supervised professional placement. Graduates receive international recognition and are eligible for Australian Association of Social Workers membership, working in child protection, health, mental health, community development and policy.
