About this program
RMIT University Bachelor of Information Technology is a three-year, 288 credit point degree with three majors (cyber security, enterprise system development, digital innovation) and 15 minors covering cloud computing, programming, data analysis, data science, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics and business information systems. Common first-year units introduce the field before students specialise, and in third year they can take a programming capstone that simulates an industry software-engineering project under a professional project manager. Work-integrated learning is embedded throughout. Entry is competitive and requires the Victorian Certificate of Education or equivalent with the English and mathematics study-score prerequisites; completing the Associate Degree in Information Technology guarantees entry with four semesters of credit.
