About this program
The Diploma of Apparel, Fashion and Textiles at RMIT University is a practical, studio-based course with access to state-of-the-art facilities and industry-connected instructors. Students learn to create designs for knitted, woven and printed fabrics or textile products across fashion, interiors, homewares, craft and other commercial applications, developing their creative practice through drawing, painting and illustration, studio classes in print, knit and weave, design and concept development, experimental textile samples, and computer-aided design. With a focus on industry standards, students develop a collection of textiles to technical and market specifications and explore sustainable concepts and innovations. It is taught in Melbourne.
