About this program
The RMIT Master of Physiotherapy, based in Bundoora in Melbourne, produces agile, evidence-informed health professionals. Students learn therapeutic communication skills, business and enterprise acumen, technology and digital health skills, and knowledge of healthcare across the lifespan, with simulated and clinical experiences embedded in the curriculum. The degree leads to eligibility for registration as a physiotherapist. Graduates work as physiotherapists in hospitals, private and sports practice, aged and community care and rehabilitation.

1 term of coursework
- Year 1 In the first year of study, you undertake 8 subjects that prepare you for your block clinical placement period. These subjects cover foundational knowledge and practical skills in physiotherapy across lifespan, research and leadership. You also commence your EmpowEEr WIL placement – a one-day-per-week industry placement over 2 years, delivered during the 2 semesters. Year 2 In the second year of study, you delve deeper into aspects of physiotherapy practice that include introduction of complex clinical presentations and clinical reasoning, global healthcare model, and business and management within the context of physiotherapy practice. You attend clinical placement blocks, each of 5 weeks in duration, and continue your EmpowEEr WIL placement
