About this program
The LLB at Southern Cross is accredited by the NSW Legal Profession Admission Board, which means graduates can seek admission to practice anywhere in Australia after completing Practical Legal Training (PLT). The degree itself doesn't confer admission, and students need to budget for a PLT course afterward on top of the LLB. Core units cover the expected ground (Civil Litigation and Procedure, Evidence, Australian Criminal Law, Professional Conduct) plus a Philosophy of Law unit that pushes students toward legal theory rather than pure black-letter law.
