Bachelor of Community Services
Torrens University Australia, Multi-campus, national, Australia
About this program
The degree runs 22 core subjects plus two electives over three years, moving from foundational subjects in case management, person-centred practice, mental health and lifespan development into applied subjects covering trauma-informed practice, child protection, community development, and grief and loss.
An Advanced Industry Placement subject provides supervised fieldwork, and a First Peoples Culture, History and Healthcare subject and a dedicated Social Justice subject are built into the core (not left as electives). As of this build-out, the course is not yet accredited by the relevant industry peak body and is awaiting an accreditation outcome, which prospective students should confirm directly with Torrens before enrolling.
Delivered on campus (with blended options) at Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, 3 years full time with part-time options.
