Bachelor of Psychological Science
Torrens University Australia, Multi-campus, national, Australia
About this program
This degree carries full APAC (Australian Psychology Accreditation Council) accreditation, backdated to Trimester 1 2024 so that every enrolled cohort is covered rather than only students who started after a given date. That detail matters because APAC accreditation is the non-negotiable first step toward registering as a psychologist in Australia, and a degree without it simply doesn't count toward that pathway regardless of course content quality.
Structurally this is Torrens' entry point into the standard Australian psychology registration pipeline: a three-year accredited undergraduate degree, followed by further accredited postgraduate study (typically an Honours year or Master's) and supervised practice before registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Students who complete this degree without continuing to postgraduate psychology study still graduate with a solid grounding in research methods, statistics and behavioural science applicable to allied-health-adjacent and human-services roles.
Delivered across Torrens' health-focused campuses with the standard mix of research methods, biological and cognitive psychology, developmental and social psychology coursework that APAC's accreditation standard requires.
