Bachelor of Business Informatics
University of Canberra, Canberra, ACT, Australia
About this program
A three-year degree (72 credit points) that sits deliberately between business and IT, built around systems analysis, database design, enterprise systems and workflow management, with a specialisation in cybersecurity and system administration, data science, or cloud computing and IoT.
It is accredited by the Australian Computer Society at professional level. The final year includes a group project that analyses a real IT problem and builds an IT strategy for it, and the program lists internships with PwC, Fujitsu Australia and government agencies. Entry is a selection rank of about 60 with basic ICT knowledge assumed. It suits students who prefer analysing requirements, managing data and designing systems over pure programming, and Canberra's government sector is a large employer of these graduates.
