Bachelor of Digital Design (Digital Media)
University of Canberra, Canberra, ACT, Australia
About this program
A three-year, 72 credit point digital media degree delivered jointly with TAFE Queensland at the South Bank campus in Brisbane, so students take University of Canberra units alongside TAFE Queensland electives and studio classes. Core study covers 3D media art production, animation, sound design, digital photography, interactive fiction and emerging virtual and augmented reality tools, together with professional practice and a work integrated learning placement.
Entry is by selection rank, with a portfolio pathway available, and strong students can progress to an honours year. Graduates work as digital media and motion designers, animators, videographers and VR or AR content specialists across games, screen, advertising and immersive media. It suits students who want a hands-on, technology-heavy creative production degree and are based in or willing to study in Brisbane rather than Canberra.
