About this program
A three-year degree (72 credit points) that takes a broad view of the justice sector rather than specialising narrowly in criminology or policing. Units span criminal justice, social justice, environmental justice, Indigenous justice and family law, with electives in human rights and judicial administration.
A 75-hour internship in a justice workplace is required, with past placements at community legal centres, courts, the Commonwealth Ombudsman, government departments and Legal Aid ACT, and a capstone that includes practical dispute management. Entry is a selection rank of about 65 with alternative pathways available. It suits students who want to work across the justice system as policy officers, probation and parole officers, police, corrections officers or public servants, without doing a full law degree.
