About this program

A three-year, 72 credit point science degree with a required core major in Science plus one specialist major chosen from Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Chemical Science, Environmental Science, Human Movement or Nutrition Studies, and eight open electives that can add a second major or broaden the degree.

The curriculum emphasises scientific reasoning, data analysis and communication, with laboratory and field work integrated throughout and professional practice units that place students in industry and research settings using current equipment. Entry is a selection rank of about 60, with Year 12 biology, chemistry and mathematical methods as assumed knowledge and IELTS 6.0 for international students. Graduates work as laboratory and research officers, environmental and sustainability officers and biomedical scientists, or move into STEM teaching with further study. It suits students who want a flexible science degree with a clear applied and work-integrated focus.
