A one-year pathway diploma delivered by UC College over three trimesters at the Bruce campus, worth 24 credit points, combining first-year design studio and theory units with a required Academic English unit and academic-skills teaching. On completion, students progress directly into the second year of University of Canberra design bachelor's degrees. Entry requires IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. It suits students, particularly international students, who do not meet direct entry or who want a supported first year while building English and studio skills. UC College runs the same model in Business, Communication, Health, Information Technology and Science.
