About this program
A 12 credit point graduate certificate, the entry stage of the University of Canberra's Building Information Modelling pathway. It covers the foundations of BIM and digital construction management and articulates with full credit into the Graduate Diploma and then the two-year Master of Building and Construction Information Management, which uses UC's BIM Hub with VR, AR and 3D scanning facilities. Entry normally requires an undergraduate qualification in architecture, construction or engineering, with recognition of prior learning for experienced applicants. Admissions
Completed bachelor's degree or equivalent. The University of Canberra is a strong supporter of lifelong education and recognises that not everyone comes into university through traditional pathways. If you do not hold a Bachelor degree, we may consider your previous related work experience through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL enables admissions based on learning derived from work experience or a combination of qualification and work experience. The amount of work experience required will depend on your previous qualifications, ranging from 4 years (for example, if you have a TAFE advanced diploma) to 10 years if your highest qualification is a Year 12 certificate. In general, the following documentation is required as part of the RPL assessment. .
