About this program
A 12 credit point graduate certificate in counselling theory and skills, the entry stage of UC's counselling pathway. It articulates with full credit into the Graduate Diploma in Counselling and then the Master of Counselling, which is accredited by the Australian Counselling Association and includes 200 hours of supervised placement. The certificate on its own is an introductory qualification, not a route to practise as a counsellor. Admissions
Admission to this course is competitive. Applications will be assessed on the basis of academic merit and the number of available places. . Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or postgraduate degree in any discipline; OR hold an AQF Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a Counselling or Counselling related subject and provide proof of 4 years full time counselling/counselling related experience. . No Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will be offered for any units included in this course.
