About this program
A 24 credit point graduate diploma in medical ultrasound, taken part-time over about two years in blended mode, that builds clinical sonography competence through coursework and supervised clinical practice. Completing it is the qualification that makes graduates eligible for accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry as an accredited medical sonographer, following on from the Graduate Certificate in Ultrasound Studies. Students generally need access to a clinical placement site. It suits people committed to a career in sonography who have completed the entry-level certificate.
