About this program
The University of Canberra's Master of Medical Imaging is an accelerated graduate-entry degree that compresses a normal three-year radiography qualification into 2.5 years. Entry is a bachelor's degree in any field with a credit average plus at least two degree-level units of anatomy and physiology, with introductory physics, psychology and statistics assumed, and IELTS 7.0 in every band.
It is an approved program of study with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia, so graduates can apply for registration as a diagnostic radiographer. Clinical training is substantial: four five-week placement blocks and two 13-week residencies across general radiography, CT, MRI, mammography and ultrasound, after practising on campus equipment first. It suits graduates changing career into diagnostic imaging who want the fastest registrable route.

Admissions
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria: . A) a completed bachelor degree in any discipline with a credit or higher average . B) a minimum of two degree level units of anatomy and physiology. . Domestic applicants . Applications from domestic applicants will open annually on 1st October in the year prior to commencement and close on 30 November of the same year. To secure a place, applicants must formally accept their offer. Applications may close earlier than 30 November if all places are filled. A limited number of Commonwealth supported places (CSPs) are available for this course. CSPs will be allocated on the basis of academic merit after the application closing date or once the course quota has been reached (whichever occurs first). Applicants who decline their fee offer will not be considered for a Commonwealth supported place. . International applicants . Applications from international applicants will open annually on 1st August in the year prior to commencement and close on 30th September of the same year. To secure a place, applicants must formally accept their offer. Applications may close earlier than 30th September if all places are filled.
