About this program

A two-year master's (48 credit points) that qualifies graduates as an Accredited Practising Dietitian through Dietitians Australia, a credential recognised internationally. Year one is eight units of clinical, community and research content; year two is almost entirely placement.

Students complete up to 24 weeks of full-time workplace education across hospitals, community health services and food service settings, plus an additional four-week internship that UC builds in for networking and job-seeking. Entry is demanding: a bachelor's degree in human nutrition plus specific degree-level study in chemistry, human biology and physiology, biochemistry, and food and nutrition science, and IELTS 7.0 with no band below 7.0. It suits nutrition graduates set on clinical and community dietetics practice, with a stated emphasis on ageing populations.
