About this program
The University of Canberra's Master of Pharmacy is a two-year graduate-entry degree for people who already hold a bachelor's degree in any field with a credit average and have completed one unit in five of six sciences: chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology.
It is fully accredited by the Australian Pharmacy Council, so graduates can go on to the supervised internship year that leads to registration as a pharmacist. Placements include two-week blocks in community and hospital pharmacies over the winter periods plus shorter placements through each teaching semester, with the usual police, immunisation and Working with Vulnerable People clearances. It suits career changers who want to become pharmacists without repeating a four-year undergraduate degree.

Admissions
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria: . 1. A completed bachelor degree in any discipline with a credit or higher average, and . 2. A minimum of one unit (subject) of degree level (or higher) study in five of the following six disciplines - chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology. . A limited number of Commonwealth supported places (CSPs) are available for this course. CSPs will be allocated on the basis of academic merit and applications must be submitted by 31 October in the year prior to commencement. Applicants who decline their fee offer will not be considered for a Commonwealth supported place.
