About this program
A two-year graduate-entry pharmacy degree for people who already hold a bachelor's degree in any field with a credit average and have completed one unit in five of six sciences: chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology.
It is fully accredited by the Australian Pharmacy Council, so graduates can go on to the supervised internship year that leads to registration as a pharmacist. Placements include two-week blocks in community and hospital pharmacies over the winter periods plus shorter placements through each teaching semester, with the usual police, immunisation and Working with Vulnerable People clearances. It suits career changers who want to become pharmacists without repeating a four-year undergraduate degree.
