Master of Physiotherapy
University of Canberra, Canberra, ACT, Australia
About this program
A two-year graduate-entry master's (48 credit points) for people who hold a health science bachelor's degree with a credit average and prior study in musculoskeletal and functional anatomy, exercise physiology and biomechanics.
Clinical education is four five-week full-time placements spanning acute care, rehabilitation and aged care. Placements are full-time only and typically require interstate travel at the student's own cost. The course is accredited by the Australian Physiotherapy Council, and graduates are eligible to apply for registration as a physiotherapist through AHPRA. It suits health graduates, often from exercise or sport science, who want the fastest accredited route into physiotherapy practice rather than a four-year undergraduate degree.
