About this program

A two-year graduate-entry teaching degree for people whose bachelor's degree includes at least one year of full-time study relevant to a primary curriculum learning area. It is registered by the ACT Teacher Quality Institute and recognised as a teaching qualification across Australia.

Students complete 60 days of supervised professional experience in Canberra partner schools and must pass a moderated Teaching Performance Assessment to graduate, as well as both parts of the LANTITE literacy and numeracy test. All applicants attend a suitability interview (CASPI). The English requirement for entry and for later registration is high: IELTS 7.5 overall with 8.0 in speaking and listening. It suits graduates moving into primary teaching who can evidence relevant prior study.
