About this program

An 18-month master's (36 credit points), with 27 points of required study covering epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics, health promotion, ecological public health, policy, and a research project, and 9 points of electives in areas such as communicable disease control, global health, Indigenous health and program evaluation.

Work placements and applied research projects are available through the elective units, with students working alongside UC Health Research Institute staff and partners in government, NGOs and community organisations. Being based in Canberra puts students close to the federal health department and national agencies.
