About this program
A two-year graduate-entry secondary teaching degree. Entry requires a bachelor's degree with a major in a school teaching area such as English, mathematics, science, a language, humanities and social sciences, health and physical education, technologies, or creative and performing arts, with a second teaching area preferred.
Students complete 60 days of supervised placement in Canberra region secondary schools, pass a Teaching Performance Assessment, and pass both components of the LANTITE test. All applicants sit a suitability interview (CASPI), and the English requirement is IELTS 7.5 with 8.0 in speaking and listening. The course is registered by the ACT Teacher Quality Institute and recognised nationally. It suits graduates with a strong discipline background who want to teach years 7 to 12.
