Master of Speech Pathology
University of Canberra, Canberra, ACT, Australia
About this program
A two-year graduate-entry master's for people who already hold a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in any field with a credit average. It has full accreditation from Speech Pathology Australia, so graduates are eligible for practising membership and can work as speech pathologists across Australia.
Clinical placements run four days a week at health and education sites including the UC Health Precinct and regional and remote locations. The course is framed around producing researcher-practitioners and builds in substantial research training alongside clinical work in speech, language, swallowing and communication disorders across all age groups. The English requirement is unusually high at IELTS 8.0 with no band below 8.0, alongside police, immunisation and Working with Vulnerable People checks.
