About this program
The Bachelor of Agriculture is a three-year degree covering the science, economics and technology of food, farming and sustainable land management. The first year builds a foundation in agricultural science, biology, natural environments and production and life sciences, with an introductory Agriculture Discovery Week at the Dookie campus. From second year students choose a major in agricultural economics, plant and soil science, or production animal science. Learning combines laboratory work, fieldwork and hands-on industry experience, and the common first year was designed with industry and employers. It is taught on campus at Parkville with March and July intakes, and honours is available. Graduates work in farm and agribusiness management, agronomy and crop science, animal production, agricultural policy, research, and agri-finance and consulting.
