About this program
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) at the University of Melbourne is a one-year program introducing candidates of proven ability to research training, developing critical thinking, creative drive and the capacity to manage a major creative research project. Visual Art students work from The Stables, a contemporary arts research hub, producing work under individual supervision that enters the annual VCA Graduate Exhibition.
Graduates continue into advanced practice or pathways into graduate research programs such as the Master of Fine Arts by Research or Doctor of Philosophy (Fine Arts and Music).
