About this program
The Graduate Certificate in TESOL at the University of Melbourne gives students an English as an Additional Language teaching specialisation, analysing the nature and form of language and how second language acquisition affects learning and teaching. The course, which does not provide an initial teacher qualification, offers 50 credit points toward the Master of TESOL for students who continue.
Graduates with Victorian Institute of Teaching registration become eligible for EAL positions in Victorian schools, confidently contributing to local, national and global TESOL education issues.

Admissions
To be considered for entry into this course, you must: Have completed a bachelor honours degree (AQF8) or equivalent in Education. Or Have completed a bachelor degree (AQF7) or equivalent in any discipline. And Have completed a graduate diploma (AQF8) or equivalent in Education. And Be eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
