About this program
The Master of Biotechnology is a two-year degree that combines biological and medical science with the business skills needed to take technologies and therapeutics to market in health, agribusiness, food and related industries. Students study the full biotechnology product pipeline and can build specialist knowledge in areas such as genomics, then complete a year-long industry placement consulting on a real problem in fields like biomanufacturing or AgriPharma, or choose a research placement in a laboratory. It is taught on campus at Parkville in the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct with March and July intakes, giving access to researchers and industry partners. Graduates work in biomanufacturing, regulatory affairs, research and development, business development, consulting and technology transfer across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector.
