About this program
The Master of Clinical Audiology at the University of Melbourne trains graduates to assess, diagnose and manage hearing and balance disorders, learning from clinicians and researchers through lectures, tutorials and supervised practicals with hands-on patient experience from day one. Students complete an independent research project alongside comprehensive clinical training, developing critical thinking and the ability to apply theory in novel clinical situations.
The professionally accredited program supports eligibility for registration as an audiologist. Graduates move into hospitals, private clinics, community health services and research roles.

Admissions
To be considered for entry into this course, you must: Have completed a bachelor degree (AQF7) or equivalent in a cognate (relevant) discipline. Cognate (relevant) disciplines include: Science, health sciences, biomedicine, linguistics, phonetics, psychology, music. We encourage all applicants with a WAM of 65 or above to apply. This WAM is an indication only and may vary year to year depending on the applicant pool, achieving this WAM does not guarantee entry. Domestic applicants who have special circumstances are encouraged to apply through Graduate Access Melbourne to increase their eligibility.
