About this program
The Master of Laws (LLM) is the flagship degree of the Melbourne Law Masters program, available only to law graduates and taken over one year full time or two years part time on campus at Parkville, with multiple intakes through the year. Students choose from more than 170 subjects across around 26 specialist legal areas, from banking and finance law to human rights, intellectual property, tax, and energy and resources law, and can complete a minor thesis for those interested in independent research. Subjects are delivered flexibly through intensive on-campus teaching, online learning and seminars, taught by Melbourne Law School academics alongside more than 140 visiting experts each year. Graduates use the qualification to specialise and advance in legal practice, government, corporate advisory, the judiciary and academia.
