About this program
The Master of Speech Pathology at the University of Melbourne develops the knowledge, clinical reasoning and professional skills to assess and support communication and swallowing across the lifespan, over two years of evidence-based learning and practical experience. Students complete approximately 400 hours of supervised clinical work across health-care and educational facilities in metropolitan and rural Victoria.
Graduates are eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia and work in partnership with families across diverse healthcare, education and community settings.

Admissions
To be considered for entry into this course, you must: Have completed a bachelor degree (AQF7) or equivalent in a cognate (relevant) discipline. Cognate (relevant) disciplines include: Science, biomedicine, linguistics, phonetics, education, psychology. While there is no minimum WAM for this course, applicants with a WAM of 65+ are encouraged to apply. CASPer Situational Judgement Test All applicants seeking entry to the Master of Speech Pathology must undertake an approved Situational Judgement Test (SJT). Applicants must take the SJT the year before their intended commencement of the Master of Speech Pathology. You must be registered for one of the following test times at least three days prior to the test date. All test times are listed in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).
