About this program

The Master of Nursing Practice (Preregistration) at the University of New England (UNE) is a two-year, professional-entry degree for people who already hold a bachelor's degree in another field and want to become a registered nurse. It is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC), and graduates can apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
The curriculum is aligned with the Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. Students study on campus in Armidale or online, with hands-on training in the Clinical Simulation Lab during mandatory on-campus intensive schools. Clinical placements run with public, private and non-profit health services, including community and mental health settings, and course content gives particular attention to nursing in rural areas. UNE runs this course by intake year, so check the current year's version of the course page for open intakes.
