Master of Nursing
University of Newcastle, Newcastle, NSW, Australia
About this program
The University of Newcastle Master of Nursing is built for working registered nurses who want to progress into senior, specialist, leadership, educator or researcher roles without stepping away from practice, with flexible online learning and recognition of existing experience. It offers specialisations such as Advanced Practice and Leadership and Management, and develops the knowledge to lead teams, manage complex care and deliver evidence-based care. Entry requires registration as a registered nurse in the applicant own country, plus a postgraduate qualification at AQF level 8 or higher or at least one year of work experience as a registered nurse, evidenced by a CV and statement of service. Indicative international tuition is around A$47,600 per year. With a projected national shortfall of around 79,000 nurses by 2035, demand for advanced-practice nurses is strong.
