About this program
The Bachelor of Counselling is a fully integrated program focused on an individual's psychosocial, personal and spiritual development across the lifespan. Students study theories and approaches to counselling, explore personal values and belief systems, and develop practical counselling skills before specialising in counselling children, adolescents, couples and families, and older people. The degree includes a placement in a counselling agency, and graduates are entitled to register as professional counsellors with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), the program's external accrediting body. A second-year entry pathway is available for students who have completed a Diploma of Counselling (CHC51015), giving one year of full-time equivalent credit.
