About this program
The University of Queensland's Bachelor of International Studies is a three-year degree at the St Lucia campus that combines language study, international studies and a compulsory overseas exchange semester. First-year courses introduce global issues, communication and cultural understanding alongside intensive language development, and later study deepens regional knowledge in politics, culture and economics across different regions. The semester abroad lets students live and study in another country and immerse themselves in their chosen language. Graduates work in government and foreign affairs, international business and trade, policy and development, international organisations, and roles that require working across cultures and languages.
