About this program

The Graduate Diploma in Economics is a one-year postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus for graduates without an economics background. Students take foundation courses in microeconomics and macroeconomics, mathematical techniques and statistics, plus an elective from areas such as environmental economics, health economics and economic development, building critical thinking, logic and analytical skills. It can lead into the Master of Economics. Graduates work as analysts and advisers across government, finance, consulting and business.
