About this program

The Master of Dietetics Studies is a two-year full-time program at UQ's St Lucia campus that qualifies graduates to become an Accredited Practising Dietitian. Students gain extensive knowledge of nutrition and dietetics and its role in managing conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, malnutrition and gut disorders, and complete around 850 hours of supervised practice in hospitals and community settings. Graduates work as dietitians in hospitals, community and public health, private practice, food industry and research.

Admissions

To be eligible for entry, you'll need: An approved degree with completed tertiary studies in biochemistry, physiology and nutrition that meet the accreditation requirements of the national standards for dietetics.Entry is competitive based on GPA with a limited intake capacity.The minimum GPA to be considered for admission into this program is 4.0.Please see 'Additional application information' below for further details on entry requirements.
