About this program
The Master of Magnetic Resonance Technology is a postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus for qualified radiographers, biomedical engineers and other health professionals who work with MRI equipment. In a multidisciplinary environment students learn from radiographers, medical practitioners, medical physicists, chemists and engineers about the physics of magnetic resonance, image formation, the components of modern MRI scanners and specialist practical skills. Graduates work as MRI technologists, applications specialists and clinical educators in hospitals, imaging practices and industry.

Admissions
Master of Magnetic Resonance Technology. You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification. a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (see below), or a graduate certificate or graduate diploma in magnetic resonance technology, or to have successfully completed at least 3.5 years of study towards an approved qualification at an overseas partner institution, including research requirements, with a formal pathway to the Master of Magnetic Resonance Technology.
